There are many varieties of eucalyptus tree. The eucalyptus radiata is a tree that grows to about 100 feet and has a dark bark and thin, lance-shaped or pointed leaves with spikey flowers. Its leaves and twigs are steam distilled to extract essential oil that is thin, colorless to yellow-tinged iquid and has a softer eucalyptus and slightly wood aroma.
